Dear friends and fellow zealots,
Here is a brief update about several of our musicians:
Kevin Haugh, who has been engaged in a serious fight for his health, has been heroic and strong these past months. He is now feeling well enough to play a bit of guitar. When he is ready, we all eagerly await the chance to work with him on his second album, which will feature songs he’s had in the sketchbook for some time (several years, in some cases) that will be stunning additions to his catalog and to the genres (I’m no good at specifying which those might be) that Kevin’s music calls home: Them Boys Got Steal, Under The Volcano, Bleak Street and many more.
Saul Conrad’s new album, “Requiem”, is a setting of the 12th century poem “Dies Irae”, in English and Latin. It is a collage of modern confessional singer-songwriting and sacred, classical music. It will be out in early 2016 (more on that shortly…).In the meantime, here is a video and several live recordings from a show Saul played at the Tin Roof in New Paltz.
Mike Greensteen is feverishly at work on a rock opera, that, with the help of close collaborators, will be unfurled before our ears and eyes in the coming months.
